Welcome back everyone! New Year and I’m hear with a new episode for your listening pleasure. Sorry for the long delay but Im back with new content and a couple new features. I’ve had very little time to play games at all and as such some of my interest has waned a bit, so my show will be little less game focused but def still a part of what I do. My passion has always been music and I want to keep pushing the Zcast towards that. I will still keep an eye to the downloadble titles and my eyes on the internet for news and what not. One new segment I have is On the Spotify; where I will take a in depth look at an album you can check on the music streaming service. This show is full of a great mix of music and hit variety of topics. I hope you enjoy, see you soon.

Back again! Sorry i dont have access to the Mac anymore so I cant do the chapters and pics. However, Im still bringing the games and good music. Call me Dr.Frankenstein, I pieced together a older ep I did with SherrysJoy (GeeksGoneRaw) we did about a month ago, and added some new commentary. Got some good stuff for viewing on NIW: The Kennedys, American Presidents, Glee, and The Dark Knight Rising trailer. Sherry loves the water and BioShock because it has water. On the DL we talk about Bumpy Road and Stop the Knights on iOS, Summer of Arcade 360 and PSN summer sale. Sherry has turned me into a Doors fan dropping two 60’s-tastic numbers. I add some flavor in with some Roots off of there classic Do Want More? and a joint from my library that just says Untitled - 311 but its dope. Anyway hope you like!

Special Section Zcast: Envizions EVO2 Home Console

Been a little while but I’ve come back with a super special episode of the Section Zcast. This episode I interview Derrick Samuels ( @DerSamuels ) CEO of Envizions http://www.envizionsinc.com/features.html the creators of the EVO and soon to be released EVO 2 home consoles. EVO2 is an open source Android based home console, backed up with a virtual online storage system through www.gameboxit.com. Check out the interview and find out the history, and work it takes to get into the console side of the game. He aims to make a casual yet community focused console that we can actually have a part in. I’m constantly thinking of ways to bring the community together and getting our voices heard, so this really excites me. But what makes this console even more special to me is Envizions and Derrick are from my hometown of Anniston, AL. Another commendable feat by his company is his attempt to get his console out to underprivileged kids all around the world with the the 1 Million Dreams charity http://www.indiegogo.com/EVO-2-Underprivileged-Children-Giveaway . Let the reissues flow! Section Zcast 2P1M enhanced ep 8 is here. Getting my blaxplotation on this ep. I drop a hit from ‘The Mack’ soundtrack and a cut from one of my favorite groups Camp Lo. One of the new groups that I’ve been digging over the past year or so is Fleet Foxes, they have an interesting sound, hope you enjoy. Then we slide out with some 8-bit chiptune goodness, from the legendary Mega Man NES series.

Here we go again with the re-issues of the Section Zcast 2P1M. This here is ep 5, as always I’m bringing some good tunes from some of everywhere. Kicking the door down with one of Pac’s hardest hitting tracks. Switching it up in the middle section with what I consider the best musical group post-2000’s a Swedish band, Dungen. Then a little odd ball number from a early Neil Diamond album. Rounding out with a silky hypnotic track by the beautiful Esthero and finally one word: Jimi.

First off sorry for the confusion with episode numbers, feeds, and all that jazz, let me try to explain. I started the Section Zcast a while back, first as a video podcast, that really didnt work out. Around episode 11 i got an idea to combine my 2 passions, music and gaming. I havent looked back since and totally love doing my shows. I still have my original feed going its just Section Zcast rss http://recordings.talkshoe.com/rss83802.xml and its up to episode 27. I want to continue posting there 1) because people are used to it and 2) those shows should be compatiable with all mp3 players. I started here at podbean and I wanted to do ‘enhanced’ eps with skipable chapeters, album art and links. So I basically took episode 11, which was the start of my music and game format and posted here on the Section Zcast 2Passions 1Mic feed starting at 1. I’m working my way through my old eps going in garage band and adding all the enhancements. However, I noticed my blog here was getting some descent traffic so I went ahead and posted my latest show ep 17 (or 27 old feed). So as you can see it jumps from 4 to 17, Im going to continue to do the back episodes but I want people to have the latest when they come here. So that’s that.

As far as this ep it was my pleasure to have my 2nd guest ‘ZJ’ Mark aka The Prophet209 from The Prophecy part of the GGR Collective. He brought some good convo and good tunes with him. We start off with a bumping track by Rakim’s comeback album from the late 90’s. We get a little taste of Mark’s culture with the middle section and a nice Prince number. Finally chilling on out at the end with Norah Jones. 1st half we talk Thor, PSN, and Brink. We wrap it up as always with the downloadble games, I let you know about my new favorite XBLIG Sequence. We also celebrate the Gamer ID Spreedsheet (GIS) surpassing 100 gamers. The GIS is an online gamer community tool made in Google docs so any all can add their info, please do. Hey hey 2 in one day. Here is Ep 4 a re issue of Section Zcast 14 but enhanced with chapter breaks, art, notes. Here we go again, ep 3 of the enhanced Section Zcast 2Passions 1Mic podcast. This is a re issue of ep 13 on the old feed ( http://recordings.talkshoe.com/rss83802.xml ). I start the show with the opening song off one of my fav albums of all time Goodie Mob’s Soul Food, check out the now ubiquitous Cee-Lo’s humble beginnings. To the middle section we go; I’m a big 60’s & 70’s guy. I find that time in history most interesting, I drop a Vietnam protest song from Woodstock and a little spoken word piece that kinda hits home for me. Lastly I bring in some lovely ladies, Badu and the goddess, Sade. Two very chill tracks, enjoy.
